Alan Whittaker
Council Champion for Rural Communities
Your Labour Councillor for Eccleston, Heskin and Charnock Richard
I was born and bred in Chorley, originally living in Eccleston and for the last 24 years in Heskin.
I have served on Chorley Council for over 30 years and also have been a previous member of Lancashire County Council for 12 years.
I have had the pleasure of being the Clerk to Heskin Parish Council for over 40 years. I believe in Local Government that is truly local, providing people with a safe, clean and healthy environment. I have actively campaigned on many local issues in particular trying to support residents and to prevent unwanted housing developments in our villages on sites such as Tincklers Lane Eccleston, Camelot and Charter Lane in Charnock Richard.
I am sure that our local Chorley Labour Party will continue to provide that in the villages I represent and across our Borough.
