Matthew Lynch
Your Labour Councillor for Chorley North West
Matthew Lynch is a proud resident of Chorley and has served as a Borough Councillor for eight years, representing residents who have come to him with a wide range of issues.
As a father of three, Matthew has always been passionate about making sure the vulnerable and those in need always receive the right support, and that young people have every opportunity to succeed in life. As such he is delighted that the Youth Zone is making such a difference in our town.
With his day job in engineering, Matthew believes that his daily experiences allow him to approach local issues in a pragmatic way and has worked to support residents with issues such as the flooding at Ackhurst Lodge, speeding traffic, and worsening potholes. He is working to address the poor road surfaces across Astley Road, Collingwood Road / Tootell Street in particular, raising these issues with Lancashire County Council, the highways authority.
