Samantha Martin
Your Labour Councillor for Buckshaw & Whittle
Samantha was born in Chorley and grew up in Brindle and Hoghton before moving to Buckshaw in 2016. Sam is a single parent to one daughter and truly understands the difficulties many families are currently facing. Previously she has campaigned and raised significant funds for Chorley Foodbank to enable them to build a vital storage area to keep up with demand for their services.
When she isn’t working hard for the residents of Buckshaw and Whittle, Sam runs her own business specialising in Digital Marketing and PR and also writes for several publications.
Sam grew up around the green fields of Hoghton, Brindle and Whittle and has recently been supporting residents with their objections to proposed unsuitable developments in the area. She will continue to campaign to #KeepWhittleGreen
In Buckshaw, she is currently working to set up a number of initiatives to help bring back the strong local community spirit lost during the lockdowns of Covid-19.
