Your Labour Councillor for Coppull

Alex was first elected in 2019 and lives in the heart of the local community he passionately represents.

Alex is a hands-on councillor that enjoys spending time working in the community as well as working in the NHS. Alex qualified as a Radiographer in 2000 and has subsequently re-trained to become a clinical scientist.

Alex states “It is a privilege to work for the NHS and I am passionate about improving health whilst being a strong voice opposing cuts and privatisation. I am proud to have worked on the front line throughout the COVID pandemic and have seen first-hand how precious this service really is.”

Alex has a strong trade union background and is a passionate advocate for protecting workers’ rights.

He has campaigned on many important issues such as support for Ukrainian refugees and free hospital parking as well as many other local issues. Alex is keen to support the local community by campaigning against inappropriate land development, improving transport services, improving housing standards and promoting clean tidy streets.

Alex has strongly supported community projects such as the good food club, and young people’s projects and has worked closely with the police on reducing anti-social behaviour in Coppull.
