Alistair Morwood is the Executive Member for Planning and Development and sees his role as being responsible to ensure that such work that is carried out is for the benefit of the residents of Chorley.
As a ward councillor for seven years, talking and listening to his constituents is the most important aspect of his role. Improving local play areas off Railway Road, working with Astley Parish Council on Memorial Gardens or helping residents with Environmental Issues are all part of his commitment to the local community.
Alistair is a married father of two who has lived in the Chorley area for forty-four years. He is a retired teacher having worked in both Secondary and Further education for thirty-two years, specialising in working with students with additional needs.
