Gordon France
Your Labour Councillor for Chorley North East
Hi, I’m Gordon France. I am from a local family and was born in Brinscall village. In fact, my daughter now lives in a house in the village originally built by my Great Grandfather in 1873!
I regularly stand up and fight for local residents in our villages on issues such as the recently proposed constituency boundary changes that would have moved us in with Darwen and Rossendale and thankfully looking like we have won and can stay in Chorley.
I have also been heavily involved in the fight to keep the current GP practice in Withnell Health Centre and supported residents with local transport issues.
As well as being a Borough Councillor I am a member of two Parish Councils, (Heapey and Withnell) and Chairman of the local Social Club. With the help of the local community, we have managed to get some great recent results and avoid changes being imposed that the people of the ward did not want.
